Last week we read the story, The Emperor's Egg and learned all about penguins!
I used activities from these two Penguin Packs:
We especially loved the Penguin Flap Books. We used them to practice citing evidence from the text. Working with a partner, they had to use a sentence started before sharing the facts they found in the book. There was some GREAT collaboration going on!
The life cycle of a penguin in the background came from Ashley's pack.
I wish we had more time for penguin fun. I just love it so much!! :)
